St. Vincent Health

Looking toward the future, St. Vincent General Hospital District has embraced the concept of a health campus where specialists, primary care, Lake County Public Health Agency, and other health-related offices reside in the old hospital building and synergistically complement services in the adjacent, new hospital facility.

The Cares Act mandated that nearly all insurance companies cover 100% of testing related to COVID-19. This includes fees from the provider visit, the specimen collection, and laboratory test. Insured patients can expect that we will bill their insurance and that there will be no “out of pocket” expense related to testing.

Additionally, St. Vincent Health and Rocky Mountain Family Practice are part of Federal program which enables waiving of the fees mentioned above for uninsured patients.  They will be asked to provide their social security number and a Colorado state ID or driver’s license.

People without a social security number can also receive testing at SVH or RMFP because there are 120 testing kits available in Lake County from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Those tests will be sent to the state lab for results, the office visit and collection fees will be waived.

Regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, testing is expanded now to include:

  1. Coronavirus nasal swab or nasal flush testing:  open to anyone who is sick or at the provider’s discretion.
  2. Antibody testing: open to anyone.

Call your provider for more information or to make an appointment.

  1. Prueba nasal: disponible a alguien enfermo o a discreción del médico.
  2. Prueba de anticuerpos: disponible a alguien.
