Brett has 20 years’ experience leading medical groups and critical access hospitals in growth and financial success. He believes rural healthcare means better healthcare, because it’s friends and family caring for each other. Brett asserts that at St. Vincent, the team provides high tech and high touch care, meaning patients receive the latest in medical care with a personal small-town touch.
Brett’s long-term goal for SVH is to become a flagship hospital that removes barriers to healthcare for all people, and grows with the needs of the community. He understands that healthcare workers innately want to improve the quality of life for others — and when those workers are sincerely appreciated, provided with mentoring and opportunities, their compassion and expertise thrives.
Colorado was one of the first states where Brett and his wife Christie lived early in his healthcare administration career. After leading hospitals elsewhere and becoming empty nesters, Brett and Christie chose to return to Colorado. They consider it the perfect choice for their lifestyle and enjoy hiking, biking, boating, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
