No Health Fair This Year? You can still take charge of your health!

Like you, your friends at St. Vincent Health have historically looked forward to the annual 9 Health Fair. The event, which routinely occurred in April, will not take place again this year. We enthusiastically anticipate 2022, when hopefully, it will be back.
If you were one of hundreds of people in Lake County who got their annual blood profile and other health screenings at the fair, we have some good news. The St. Vincent Lab offers Direct Access Testing (DAT), which means lab tests can be ordered and accessed by you, without a provider’s order, similar to the health fair.
Lab tests are a vital part of your medical care. Some of the many DAT screenings available include blood chemistry, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel, PT INR, women’s and men’s health panels, PSA, TSH, CBC, and more! Our goal is to improve the health of our community by providing timely, accurate, and cost-effective testing services.
When ordering DAT the individual pays up-front and out-of-pocket for the service. DAT is not billable to insurance. Colorado is one of 37 states in the nation in which DAT testing is available.
Similar to the health fair, this option for DAT lab tests is simple, confidential, inexpensive, and offers patients the ability to be in charge of their health and disease prevention. Results are private. Your test results will be sent to only you, not to your medical provider. It is your responsibility to share the lab results with your medical provider/health care provider, and to schedule an appointment to discuss your results.
